Objectives

§ Timely delivery and proper filing of initial sampling, PPAP and production specific testing reports

§ Pursue and ensure zero defect production with reliable process control and continuous training

§ Building up a stable, efficient and capable team in cooperation with Head of Quality Management

§ Leads the assigned team on the principle of the SFS corporate model and values

Principal duties

§ Collaborate closely with Production Management to ensure high quality and low defect rates

§ Participation on daily production shop-floor meetings

§ Responsible for immediate and proper response to customer complaint following quality guidelines in cooperation with Head of Manufacturing and Customer Service Teams

§ Support, analyse and report of non-conformities/deviations and suggest corrective actions for improvement to the process owner (PO)

§ Execution of the 8D-process (responsible for D0-D3, revision and supervising 8D-report)

§ Support of the BMS implementation and maintenance (translations of group documents, preparation of site documents, training of employees, preparation for internal/external audits etc.)

§ Responsible for the upkeep of the quality lab system in compliance with ISO 17025

· Support selection and procurement of quality control equipment (CAPEX request by HQM)

§ Responsible for monitoring and on time initiation of QC-tool and SPC system calibration

§ Enforces cleanliness / orderliness of assigned work space to ensure smooth change of shift

§ Responsible that work instructions, QES standards and HR policies are followed within the team

§ Utilize, promote and support CIP and lean philosophy to improve productivity

§ Develop team know-how and skills by planning training and monitor it via skill matrix

§ Defines and implements MbO goals of the team members

§ Leads by example, improve teamwork and foster a good work climate

Criteria

Qualification requirements

Age

25 - 35

Language skills

Native language Chinese

Good English level (spoken and written) to translate BMS documents

Good verbal skills in Cantonese as an additional advantage

Education

Quality Engineer

Quality Assurance Specialist

On the job training on all kind of quality laboratory equipment

Experiences

Several years active in the Manufacturing Industry (Metal working)

Familiar with high volume and quality oriented production

Familiar with 8D, initial sampling and PPAP processes

Gained experience in setting up or expanding a QC laboratory

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)

Proven track record in supervising a team

Additional assets :

- Worked already at a fastener producer (screws or rivets)

- Gained experience in maintaining / calibrating QC equipment

- Knows Kaizen / CIP, Lean Management Principles and 5S
