Quality Control Executive

A rapidly growing, foreign owned packaging company are looking for a dynamic person to join their team in China. The role is based in our Guangzhou office but the job involves the candidate to travel 90% of the time to production facilities across Guangdong Province and occasionally in other provinces. The role would ideally suit a young person who has good communication skills in both English and Chinese and is looking for a new challenging role with more responsibility. The company are looking for someone to grow with the position and start as the QC executive and ideally progress to manage a small team as the company continues to grow. This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
? Responsible for all aspects of the quality control of all productions commissioned by the company.
? Take full responsibility for all offsite QC which takes place at the production site and oversea final packing / loading of containers.
? Communicate with the management, sourcing team and account management team feedback from each QC project, clearly identify the issues and propose solutions.
? Prepare written QC reports for all projects and ensure all documents are properly recorded in our systems.
? Work closely with the management and daily contacts at the production facilities we use to ensure there close co-operation and learn from their mistakes.
? Work closely with the sourcing team who are each responsible for a product(s) line and conduct regular factory visits with them to help improve the supply chain.

Skills required:
1. It would a necessity to have experience within the field of packaging and printing.
2. Very strong Chinese communication skills (speaking, writing and reading) are a necessity to ensure smooth co-operation with the production facilities. Good English skills are an advantage for communication with clients and management.
3. Strong understanding of the importance of quality and pay attention to detail.
4. Good time management skills.
5. Ability to solve problems, think of creative solutions and work under pressure.
6. Enjoy working as part of a team but also be self-sufficient and able to work alone.
7. Have basic IT skills such as using Microsoft Office software, internet applications, email etc.
