1. Should be punctual, efficient and above all courteous, Welcome, greets guest by name and helps to seat guests. Acknowledge all guests on departure and remain friendly and courteous at all times.
2. They Constantly strive to give excellent friendly service in a cheerful way.
3. Have a good knowledge of the entire hotel operation and to be able to answer all guest questions properly. Respond to and anticipate guest needs.
4. Takes care of the necessary reports and files needed for the smooth restaurant operation as directed by the outlet Manager.
5. Answer telephone calls with a correct standard telephone etiquette. To take care of reservations, assign tables so that the restaurant is utilized in a efficient manner
6. To Have a good knowledge of the restaurant menu, hand out all menus in good order, explain any specials, keep the hostess desk clear and tidy at all times.
7. Checks up constantly with the station in charge about the vacant table and allocates it to the guest efficiently.
8. Must Have a through product knowledge of all the items in the Menu / drink lists and service procedures recommend specials and practice up-selling at all times.
9. Must be able to work rapidly and efficiently during peak hours
10. Be responsible hostess counter, proper cleanliness and tidiness to be maintained at all times. In charge of equipment which is in her area of duty.
11. Informs the Management immediately about arrival of any V.IP Guest, Regulars, owners, shareholders and corporate heads.
12. Perform specific duties assigned by supervisor
13. Must be flexible with regards to their work schedule and are always committed to the team image. They are punctual as per the schedule and must give adequate notice whenever serious circumstance prevents them from adhering to their schedule
14. Must understand the importance of Co-operation required between other departments for smooth and efficient operation.
15. He/She is always well groomed and neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform. He/She will never frequent the outlet either on or off duty unless He/She is in her Correct Attire
16. Handle all complaints and request immediately and informs the Supervisor immediately for follow up action

In addition to launching the first Amari hotel in China, ONYX Hospitality Group is also proud to introduce Amaya Food Gallery, the hotel’s restaurant, which will also make its debut in the country. Being an Amari brand concept inspired by the well-loved street food markets of Asia, the 360-square-metre Amaya Food Gallery is an all-day dining venue located within Amari Yangshuo. The Gallery was designed using rich colours and vibrant textures to present food choices from across Asia with interactive open kitchens that will take guests on a journey of gourmet discovery.
