1. Setting up and maintains high standard of: -
？ Beverage productions
？ Bar mise-en place work
？ Use jigger at all times for proper measurement
2. He is thoroughly familiar with the contents of the beverage, wine and cocktail list from all the bars and restaurant. To be aware of contents of beverage served and its standard glassware.
3. Check mise-en place before bar opens for business: quantity, quality and cleanliness of beverage/food/utensil used. The Bar counter and the back bar should be clean and tidy at all times.
4. Takes drink orders from the guests at the bar. Remember to utilize Suggestive Selling Techniques with follow up drinks
5. Maintain proper hygiene and grooming habits as defined in the service / work station.
6. The opening Barmen is responsible for the set-up of day’s business; checking to see that fresh fruit juices, cream, cocktail napkins/coaster, glassware, stirrer, mixer and all other bar materials are in adequate supply for the day’s business. Prepares fresh garnish as per specifications.
7. He checks the delivery against the bar requisitions also checks the stock in the bar to ascertain that both are correct and if there are discrepancies, he reports them to the Bar Supervisor / Asst . Bar Manager / F & B Manager.
8. The “Closing shift Bartender” is responsible for requesting beverage, fruit, cocktail stirrer etc., so that the bar is adequately stocked with necessary materials for the next day’s business.
9. All “closing shift” Bartender will make sure, that all stocks are cleared/stored and all drawers locked.
10. Ensure strict adherence to income and cashiering procedure (where applicable).
11. Be fully aware of the hotel’s house rules and adhere to them.
12. Attend and participate in the training classes and meetings as directed by the Management.
13. Be punctual by Following the Schedule, wearing designated Uniform, Maintain personal Hygiene and be courteous and pleasant to customers and Colleague. If whenever serious circumstances prevent them from following the schedule then a adequate notice should be given.
14. They should report any unusual incidents or guest complaints to manage or their superior immediately so that proper action can be taken to satisfy the guest’s needs.
15. They report all equipment failure or loss to the Supervisor as soon as possible.
16. They should never leave their work area unless they inform the relevant person.
17. The Amari Policy concerning consumption of alcohol on duty is followed without exception unless approved by the Management.
