Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

? Overseeing the chemical engineering aspects of all products developed or produced in the designated T1 production facilities.
? Go to expert for Senior Manager, Manufacturing on all chemical related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

? Implement chemical processes & standards in all responsible T1.
? Optimize quality and efficiency of all bonding processes between uppers and bottoms, bottom components/parts, printing/painting and other surface embellishments.
? Trouble shooting on all chemical issues.
? Implement VOC reduction programs.
? Execute chemical projects in T1. （quality & MF）
? Ensure chemical process (of all critical products) is compliant to quality requirements.
? Act as LO Resident Chemical engineering expert responsible for training/teaching and knowledge sharing and continuously upgrading of quality shoes making methodology.

? Factory Production & QIP Floor Mgr, Supervisor
? Production Team leaders/managers
? Quality Dept
? Supervisors
? Senior Manager, Manufacturing
? Adhesive suppliers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Strong knowledge of in adhesive technologies and processes. Acquire up to date new manufacturing processes and technologies to influence the manufacturing methodology of products.
? Good written and verbal English communication.
? Chinese or Korean language knowledge an advantage.
? Good knowledge of shoes manufacturing process.
? Possess a detailed and methodical approach to problem solving.
? Independently lead projects within defined scope of Chemical Engineering

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

? Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering or Materials Science.
? Minimum 4-5 years’ experience selecting, developing and optimizing bonding value of materials and processes for maximum product performance in lieu of Chemical Engineering degree.
