Product Development Leader

Report to: Product Development Manager

Responsibilities:
? Forming the interface between the UK, Hong Kong trading companies and its suppliers
? Consolidating customer & designer requirements and working with internal team to produce product brief for development
? Managing quotations and samples accurately, quickly, on time and cost effectively by coordinating with customers and suppliers.
? Ensuring that all product specifications are clear, complete and approved before production of orders
? Managing development for major product launches and customer own design development
? Delivering production orders accurately, quickly, on time and with high quality by coordinating with customers and suppliers
? Managing between trading companies and suppliers to ensure that Tracker (Master Production Schedule) is accurate and real time.
? Managing relationship between HALO and Suppliers.
? Improving efficiencies and lead time of orders by negotiating with suppliers on quick throughput strategies, alleviating bottlenecks and constraints within the supply chain and managing demand forecast/ product delisting from the trading companies for stock preparation
? Managing complaints and NCRs (Claim reports) from trading companies and negotiating claims and returns with suppliers
? Coordinating of capacities, payment terms, supply agreement, NDA with suppliers

Requirements:
? Minimum 5 years product experience in Wooden Furniture/ Upholstery Furniture in Leather & Fabrics/ Bags/ Lighting
? Experience in monitoring factories from product brief right through to shipment
? Experience in dealing with both customers and suppliers
? Experience in handling US & EEC markets
? Fluent English and Mandarin
? Graduate in business or other relevant disciplines
? Good team player
? Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
? Be customer focus while balancing the capabilities of the business and suppliers
? Be thorough and meticulous with an extreme attention to detail
? Be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to go beyond the call of duty to get the job done
