The group:

Led by our chief quality officer, the Quality team is the part of our Corporate team that measures, builds, sustains, and owns the processes across the company that help us deliver quality data, products, and services. Members of the Quality team spread the word about how we use techniques such as Lean Six Sigma and process certification to seek continuous improvement, deepen our customer focus, and achieve lasting process excellence.

The role:
The selected candidates will work in Quality team on ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of Morningstar data, minimizing operational risk caused by data issues and enhancing clients’ satisfaction. The selected candidates will be responsible for the end-to-end completion of QA tools or metrics dashboard for different business groups across Morningstar. Also, supports Quality Audit & Benchmarking initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Understand user story and translate it to requirement work items
Assess data input criteria and data sources availability to facilitate QA process automation
Create QA tool test plan based on the user requirements
Create QA tool independently or collaborate with developer, quality auditor as a team
Monitor QA tools results with users to improve data quality periodically
Set up data quality dashboard or process/ops performance dashboard; proactively communicate with global offices, management and data operational teams
Support Quality Audit & Benchmarking project
Participate in specific quality improvement projects

Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor degree or above in Computer science, Statistics or Mathematics;

Experience:
Graduate or 1 year related work experience;

Language Skills:
English as the primary working language: Fluent English in both reading and writing, CET 6 equivalent or above

Others:
Must fit company core values and is a team player.
Strong VBA, MS Office automation, SQL stored procedures and trigger coding, Python, or other technical skills.
In-depth knowledge of Morningstar data points, universes, quality dimensions, and QA audit procedures.
Sound knowledge of Accounting/Equity data is a plus.
Excellent communication skill as required by frequent tool demonstration.
Passion in details and pursuit for perfection.
