Serko® is an IT company with headquarters in New Zealand and offices throughout Asia. Responsible for maintaining company software products using software tools and system components. Maintaining a high quality rating via Unit Testing and close interaction with testers. You will need experience of the full development lifecycle and a high level of competence with C# and .NET 4.0, and web enabled skills of: ASP.NET, MVC3, Javascript, CSS, XML/XSL, VB.NET, and T-SQL.

Perform software engineering / development tasks
Estimate development effort throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assigned pieces of work
Work on tasks of large scope and technical complexity
Complete assigned development in agreed time frames to acceptable levels of quality
Adhere to software best practices for development, methodology and SDLC
Code review other developers components
Ensure any contractual requirements for development or documentation are met
Develop and use data access libraries, SQL, Stored procedures within relational databases
Become familiar with Serko® product technologies and the methods by which they are produced
Support and maintain the Serko® range of products
Create and maintain development related documentation as required
Peer review development documentation
Contribute to development and QA standards and processes
Debate, influence and co-operate with internal contacts to deliver high quality products and solutions to the market.

Are you:

Able to understand and communicate technical information in both written and spoken forms (in English)
Experienced in object oriented programming
Able to demonstrable your trouble-shooting skills
Accomplished in SQL, .NET, ASP
Proactive in your approach to learning new technical skills
Excellent in Task and Time Management
Able to contribute in a number of development areas outside your speciality
Able to demonstrable an understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle
Proficient at developing comprehensible and instructive technical instruction manuals
Able to work with little or documentation
Willing to learn from and mentor peers.

Ideally you should:

Have relevant Engineering / Technical qualifications
Have qualifications in computer science / applications or equivalent
Interest and experience in software product or systems development using C#
Have 3+ years’ experience in software product and/or systems development environment
Have experience in successfully planning, scheduling, and executing their work
Have previous experience exhibiting strong organizational skills
Have excellent communication skills, written and oral
Be a Team player requiring minimal supervision
