We work with various manufacturers in the Delta area and we spend a great deal of time with each of them managing our production. As orders continue to rise, we are in need of an individual to join our team as Production Manager. Job responsibilities will involve traveling to each of the production sites to oversee manufacturing, monitor quality, and ensure on-time delivery. Some new product development will also be a focus of this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide project planning and implementation management, and provide regular status reports to internal constituents. Provide detailed technical expertise and support on all company products. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to our suppliers and internal staff. Trouble-shoot problems as they arise. Ensure manufacturing is being done on time and on budget. Provide leadership on new product development as needed. Travel to manage vendor relationships and to develop new relationships. QUALIFICATIONS: University degree Fluency in English Strong preference given to those with a technical, industrial engineering background. (Plastic and/or metal experience is definitely preferred.) Ideal candidate will have some interest in packaging materials. Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Experience with drawing software is a plus but not necessary. Individual must possess very strong written and oral communication skills, must be able to interact cross functionally and MUST be comfortable “dealing with the details.” OTHER CONSIDERATIONS This position will report directly to the CEO. It is a high visibility role with ample room for growth as the company grows. Ultimately, we are seeking a highly organized, motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, a clear sense of urgency and the ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously. The person will have strong analytical skills balanced with a creative edge. They will be able to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on time and on budget – even if it requires forceful communication with our suppliers. Working in an ever changing environment, the best candidate will be assertive, flexible, detail oriented, patient, and possess a good sense of humor.
