Job Description -Application Engineer
Primary Responsibilities

1. Preparation of Engineering Proposals according to customer RFQ's, including:
a. Parts sourcing in China and regional areas.
b. Obtaining accurate and best pricing and terms from suppliers.
c. Estimating delivery lead time to customer, containerization and loading.
d. Prototyping and sample making.
e. Customer liaison on technical details on RFQ's.
f. Technical knowledge transfer from customers to ARC China.
g. Preparation of Proposals as part of pre-contract documentation.

2. Initiation of Projects
a. Function as POA for Projects awarded to ARC China between ARC China and the customer during the execution of the project.
b. Initiate ARC Project Execution process by verifying PO received, setting up costing documents, disseminating related information and conducting inter-department kick-off meetings.
c. Provide input on Quality Standards to assist Quality Inspectors and Production in meeting quality standards.

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Lead supplier qualification on purchasing and sourcing, where technical requirements necessitate this.
2. Perform interfacing function between customers and the China team.
3. Miscellaneous and administrative duties as assigned.
