Position Summary

This position is part of a larger team “LED, EP team” but will be responsible for qualifying, evaluating and approving.

Namely, responsible for qualifying of both manufacturing process and initial manufacturing samples prior to mass production. Would be involved in various product categories such as Die-Casting tooling, Injection model, Stamping tooling, Welding/soldering, Spinning, Painting & powder coating and so on.

Major Responsibility

1. In collaboration with Kichler US head-office Product Development, Quality Assurance and Engineering, and suppliers , to clearly define new LED product and its related components specification and assist to develop new product start up documents, specification sheets/drawings, samples, etc.

2. On-Site Evaluating and qualifying initial engineering samples, pre-production and production samples for LED lighting products and other related components against pre-set-up specification.

3. In collaboration with Cleveland Product Development, Quality Assurance and Engineering assist Supplier to resolve LED new product production issues and meet shipping schedules.

4. Ensure documentation for all LED new product engineering changes made in the field so as to keep reference documents current and consistent.

5. Support the transfer of LED new product knowledge and expectations to Kichler China Inspectors and Vendors.

6. With a working knowledge of the UL standards Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards, address and resolve UL/CSA related issues with Kichler US engineering dept.

2. 根据先前制定的规格对LED新产品和其它相关零配件进行现场评估, 包括工程首样, 产前样及大产样品.

3. 与美国总部产品开发产, 质量控制以及工程等部门共同帮助供应商解决LED新产品生产问题以期达到按时出货的目标.

4. 确保LED新产品的所有相关文件时时更新.

5. 向中国地区的验货员及供应商传达LED新产品的各种信息.

6. 具备UL/CSA等认证标准的知识并且与美国总部工程部门协作解决与UL/CSA相关的问题.

Knowledge /Experience

· 3-5 years hands on experience in a manufacturing environment. Prefer at least one year of hands on experience in mechanical manufacturing.

· Above College, Major in Manufacturing/mechanical engineering.

· LED related products or Lighting Industry experience.

· Experience in CAD and Solid works preferred.

· Experience in die-casting, injection tooling, stamping, folding, spinning, forge and extrusion, welding/soldering, painting/power coating preferred.

· Experience with Manufacturing trouble shooting

· Experience with process improvements.

· Familiarity with Quality Process Improvement tools such as PFMEA and DFMEA, Fishbone diagrams and Pareto Analysis.

· Familiar with PPAP, APQP and process capability analysis

· Understanding of Six Sigma preferred

· Understanding of Lean principle preferred

· Ability to evaluate soldering techniques is a plus

· Experience with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards and practices would be considered beneficial.

· Familiar with CAD/Solid Works and other engineering drawing, office software ; Fluent in Excel and Power Point presentation.

· Must be willing to travel; Must be able to lift 10-25lb; Must be able to stand for prolonged amount of time. Must be able to climb stair and ladders

· Most of the time working in factory , Minitab experience is a plus

· 3~5年工厂实际经验. 如果有至少一年的实际机械制造经验更佳.

· 大学及以上学历, 制造或机械工程专业.

· LED相关产品或灯饰行业工作经验.

· 有使用CAD及Solid works经验更佳.

· 有压铸,注塑, 冲压, 旋压, 铸造, 挤制加工, 焊接及喷涂等经验为佳.

· 有制造过程故障排查经验.

· 有工艺改进经验.

· 熟悉质量工艺改进工具例如PFMEA, DFMEA, 鱼骨图及Pareto分析.

· 熟悉PPAP, APQP及过程能力分析(process capability analysis).

· 懂六西格马(Six Sigma)为更佳.

· 懂精益原则(Lean principle)更佳.

· 能够评估焊接技术的为加分项.

· 有UL和CSA认证标准相关经验的为加分项.

· 熟悉CSD或Solid Works及其它工程制图和办公软件. 非常熟悉Excel 和Power Point.

· 必须愿意出差, 能够负重10-25lb, 能够站立长时间工作, 能够攀爬梯子.

· 多数工作时间在工厂. 有Minitab使用经验的为加分项.

1. Excellent communication skills with multi-parties and Trouble shooting / problem solving skills.

2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is required. CAD drawing training is a desired capability.

3. Basic computer skills are required (Word, Excel, e-mail). More advanced PC skills are a desired capability

4. Fluent in English, both written and oral communication skills are essential to this position.

5. Must be detailed oriented.
