职位描述
We are looking for a Packaging Technologist to be based in our own facility located in Foshan, China. You will be responsible for the technical development of agreed packaging products for new and existing products across China, with the emphasis on cardboard packaging and fitments.
Your objectives will be：
1. Managing and completing all Packaging requirements, particular Cardboard packaging, for New Product Development and for existing products, including both contract and full service developments.
2. Advising the Design Department throughout the development of any technical packaging considerations to reduce risk and add value.
3. Sourcing, selecting and developing packaging components suitable to meet the Brand brief, cost targets, supplier capabilities and factory facilities.
4. Develop close working relationships with the engineers and factory operators, to ensure detailed understanding of the factory capability.
5. Quickly and efficiently investigating and finding resolutions to packaging, factory and retail complaints and quality issues.
6. Develop fit for purpose packaging within the critical path timeline.
7. Manage all packaging actions from brief through testing to approval stage, ensuring that packaging is compliant, safe, meets both business and legislative requirements.
8. Carry out all packaging related approvals including artwork, proofs, colour standards and tolerances, attending print passes when required.
9. Travel across China will be required

5. 迅速有效的调查研究工厂以及零售商在包装方面的质量问题和投诉，并找出解决方案。
6. 按时在规定的研发周期内开发出适合的包装产品方案。
7. 管理包装的从初始概念到样品测试到最终定型的整个流程，确保包装在实用性、品质和安全性等方面安全满足商业贸易和相关法律的要求。
8. 设立各种与包装相关的标准， 包括工艺、实验数据、色彩标准、柔韧性、抗压性等等，如果有需要，还要参与喷涂印刷流程。
9. 根据需要在全中国范围内出差。
You will require the following skills and qualifications:
1. Good experience of packaging development, preferably in the Home Wares and Furniture Industry.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience preferably in Cardboard technologies.
3. Ability to design solutions on either Autocad or Solidworks.
4. Familiar with Microsoft Office
5. Ability to read technical drawings.
6. Good communication skills both verbal and written, in English and Mandarin.
7. Attention to detail.
