Responsibilities: Supervising the QC team and ensuring all products meet with agreed standards. Communicate any issues back to the UK. Providing the UK QC Manager with accurate information and solutions to issues.
1. Job Purpose (Objectives)
To manage all quality control functions in Neptune foshan, ensuring all stock is manufactured to agreed standards and every consignment is checked by the team for quality and delivery as per the specification sheet. To ensure shortcomings in quality standards are dealt with promptly and effectively.
Work closely with UK QC Manager to determine and deliver the ongoing staffing requirements of the QC team in line with the business plan.
Work closely with the manufacturing partners to establish and maintain service levels in terms of quality, capacity, price, ethics and delivery.
Visit manufacturing partners to ensure they are complying with Neptune’s quality standards.
Manage all OTIF targets. i.e. 90% on time shipments.
Feedback to UK office all ideas / suggestions to refine designs and improve quality
2. Job Responsibilities
To respond quickly and clearly to all Neptune UK requests.
To follow instructions from the UK and ensure all manufacturing partners are co-operating fully.
To help develop more efficient systems of work and to use any resultant change.
Ensure that inspection reports are received in a timely manner and are reviewed for compliance to scope of inspection and forwarded to all concerned.
To support with the QC team as and when required in the physical check of product for defects.
Record daily QC data enabling the UK QC manager to analyse the data to assist with the report writing.
Ensure that ilink is fully up to date with correct information at all times with weights and dimensions.
3. Skills and Qualifications
A good communicator to all levels of staff.
An understanding of a premium brand and how this should be communicated to our customers.
Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new system quickly.
Qualifications and education to a good standard.
Actively seeks continuous personal improvement and improvement in the working environment.
Ability to adapt in a fast moving business, to be able to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
A good people person.
A good problem solving mind.
High level organizational skills with great attention to detail.
4. Essential Attributes
Fluent English, both verbal and written.
Fluent in standard Mandarin.
I.T. literate.
Experience in quality control.
Experience of supervising a team.
