Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Based at: Gaoming, Foshan
Report to: Global Sourcing Director
Purpose of Role: Direct responsibility for the expansion of the supply base and coordination with multi-function teams; identify and qualify suppliers in support of HALO global sourcing strategy; manage supply base to ensure cost effective, high quality and on-time delivery

Responsibilities - general
1. Manage sourcing teams for product sourcing, supplier selection & management, supplier qualification and new product development support for defined commodities from global sources
2. Analyse given markets and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and pricing for defined commodities
3. Identify projects that will result in HALO obtaining the best quality, reliability, pricing and delivery from suppliers which may result from material or supplier changes, process improvements, etc.
4. Proactively communicate status of improvement projects to global sourcing team and multi-function teams

Responsibilities – specific to
1. Assist Global Sourcing Director for day-to-day function activities
2. Manage sourcing process from sourcing brief to signing off
3. Act as key member of global sourcing team, participate in management meeting and key functional decisions
4. Develop strategy to expand sources for defined commodities in China, Asia and overseas
5. Manage global sourcing planning
6. Participate in quality supply assessment and drive suppliers’ improvement
7. Lead sourcing teams to complete sourcing projects at the right cost and with the best quality
8. Manage supply of raw materials by balancing demand vs. capability to ensure zero shortage
9. Manage sourcing team, including projects allocation, team building & training, communication and coordination to different teams and projects to ensure sourcing targets are hit
10. Incorporate IT into the sourcing process

Competencies/Skills required
Must
1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be fluent in speaking and writing English, Cantonese and Mandarin
2. Have good knowledge of sourcing process & supplier base especially in China, and cost analysis
3. Strong organizational skills, planning and analytical talents
4. Good MS office skills
5. Proven coordination, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills
6. Self-motivated, well organized, observant, attention to details and customer focus
7. Willing to travel domestically and internationally

Education/Experience
Must
1. Bachelor degree or above in Business, Material Management or other relative disciplines
2. 10 years of working experience in home decoration industry, especially upholstery, furniture, bag or sundries and at least 6 years in sourcing and 4 years in a managerial role in a sizable manufacturing or trading company
Prefer
? Working experience in MNC is preferred
