· Lighting engineers must understand the design, installation, maintenance and operation of lighting fixtures and lighting control system.
· This requires knowledge of electrical wiring and engineering and the ability to understand blueprints.

· Familiar with Auto CAD.

· Basics in lighting knowledge (sources and so on).

· Knowledge with lighting calculation software such as Relux, Dialux.
