We are very excited to announce that we have a new role as Garment Technologist for our business in China. We are looking for an experienced individual to be part of an incredible team across the Group.

We are a UK vintage inspired fashion brand and our sampling and sourcing operations are based in Guangzhou, China, which is a key part of our Group. You will be required to work closely and report directly to the Sample Room Manager, who will be your line manager, but also the General Manager and Director. You will be employed by the Guangzhou subsidiary and based there.

Initial and continuing responsibilities

The Garment Technologist oversees every stage of garment production, from design specs to manufacture. They are involved in advising on the correct fabric and techniques to achieve the desired design. They ensure the sizing, fitting and testing of the pre-production garments. This role requires a close working relationship with our designers in the United Kingdom, sample and production facility in China as well as local FOB factories to ensure sampling and production is confirmed and things are running smoothly.

● We are a digital business; it is essential that all candidates are fully proficient with completing this role on a computer

● Create design specifications with measurements and construction methods appropriate for the design and fabric chosen

● Responsible for checking the fitting, measurements and the workmanship of the garments and giving final approval

● Create final Production Spec Sheet

● Main point of contact for our sampling and production facility as well as FOB factories for any queries on garment construction, fitting, design/ production specifications and giving final approvals

● Communicating with key accounts for collaborations

● Tracking samples on the critical path

● Oversee production fabric confirmations, PP/ Top sample approvals and wash care labels

● Input on size charts and grading, working on blocks and rules to ensure fitting is consistent and information given to our customer is clear and correct

● Responsible for managing models for fittings and holding fit sessions

Role Requirements

● At least 3 years experience as a Garment Technologist or a similar role

· Tertiary or university graduated in the subject of Fashion & Textiles

● Strong organisation skills & a high level of accuracy are required

● Keen attention to detail

● Computer literacy – use of Microsoft suite is essential

· Sound knowledge of garment testing

● Strong written and verbal communication in English (daily communication with UK on email/phone)

● Problem solving and decision making

● The ability to work under pressure

Hours: 10am – 7pm

Contract Time: 1 year with possibility to change to permanent upon satisfactory performance

· 注重细节

· 精通电脑应用–必须使用微软软件

· 拥有服装测试知识

· 良好的英语书面和会话能力（通过电子邮件/电话与英国交流）

· 解决问题和决策的能力

工作时间：上午10时至晚上7时

工作合同性质：1年，表现满意会改为长期合同
