Furniture Product Engineer
Responsibility
Participate as a member of cross-functional teams in supporting product development and the transition of new products into production. Participate as a team member in the development of new processes, fixtures and tools in support of new products to assure quality, consistency and efficiency.
Recommend, design and develop improvements and modifications to existing products.
Participate in the evaluation of product complaints and returns. Develop test protocols to simulate actual product use and coordinate the activities required to fabricate test parts and complete testing.
Work with PDE during design review to incorporate manufacturability into product designs.
Administer the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
Incorporate a strong working knowledge of production processes, including wood, metal, sofa making, finishing/painting processes and product assembly.
Independently research, review and recommend strategic changes on existing products, processes and/or equipment to improve process quality, consistency and efficiency.
Participate as requested in manufacturing problem solving and lead the testing and validation of corrective measures.
Participate as requested in the design, installation, and debugging of assembly tooling and equipment.
Qualification requirement:
3 - 5 years of product development support experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
Must have demonstrated project management skills and experience working on multiple projects while maintaining project schedules and priorities.
Knowledge of testing, safety and legal requirements
A team player with professional integrity, strong initiative and commitment to achieving company goals.
Strong analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of CAD software.
Would like to work in Gaoming Foshan location
