RESPONSIBILITIES

               ·            Develop key suppliers to the    company and improve their performance covering quality, cost, delivery,    process, etc.    ·            Develop quality improvement    plans with supplier and follow up implementation/execution following DMAIC    approach;

 ·         Conduct supplier factory and process audit and qualification based on IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3;

 ·         Lead supplier quality issue resolving and drive supplier for quality improvement with clear CA implementation, verification effectiveness of action;

 ·         Train and coach supplier with right quality mindset and advanced quality management method;

 ·         Spread out zero defect mindset to supplier plant;

 ·         Regular assess supplier quality performance and drive supplier to dig out causes for quality contiuous improvement

 ·         Go to supplier plant and work with them to create suitable quality gates, focus on key process and key specification;

 ·         Driving material/product quality specification review and clarification among customer, internal function and supplier;

·         Cooperate with team to qualify supplier NPI process/product to be more stable before go into mass production.   ·         Develop and maintain escalation processes and networks that respond and support problem solving to ensure continued quality delivery of supply.

 ·         Develop and maintain corporate supply chain reporting techniques for key initiatives.  Work with all sites and BUs to monitor and evaluate supplier performance and ensure supplier quality goals are met in the region.

 ·         Support supplier evaluation and recognition program to include periodic reporting with associated action plans for adverse situations and periodic supplier meetings to facilitate supplier development activities. 

 ·         Ensure that the supplier evaluation and qualification process is implemented with integrity. 

 ·         Conducts APQP/Technical Reviews for new product launches, reviewing critical characteristics, FMEAs, control plan, etc, prior to PPAP submission and release (includes approving supplier PPAP’s when needed). 

 ·         New Technology: In conjunction with Laird Engineering and Commodity Management and Advanced Purchasing, identify and develop new and emerging supplier technologies for use in Laird products.

 ·         Facilitate the development, sharing, and implementation of “Best Practice “methods and ideas across Laird and the Supply Base.

    

REQUIREMENTS

    

·         Achievement-oriented personality, Strong integrity; Strong problem-solving capability;

    

·         IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 certificate will be prefered;

    

·         Good supplier audit skill;

    

·         Advanced knowledge and experience with 6 Sigma, and Lean methodologies and tools;

    

·         Familiar with different quality tools as 8D, 5whys, DOE, SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP etc;

    

·         Knowledge and experience with Social Responsibility and Environmental requirements (RoHS, REACH, EICC, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, etc.)

    

·         Solid experience to lead supplier quality to hign level;

    

·         Positive and active attitude to drive quality continous improvement in supplier plant;

    

·         Strong organization, cooperation and leadship skills;

    

·         Good communication in English/Chinese.

    

    

    

    

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    

·         Bachelor degree or above, major in electronics or electro-mechanical;

    

·         6+ years quality management experience and 3+ years for supplier management;

    

·         Working in magnetic industry is a plus.
