Insight team plays a vital role that helps our clients see the outside insights by leveraging multi-channel datasets that are sourced through our tools. From tracking impact and sentiment analysis in real time to having an insight about the competitors’ online footprint, we help clients to understand the bigger picture and their industry as a whole. About this role

As a Media Translator, you will be responsible for translating and summarizing media information for our clients across industries in Greater China, for instance, ASUS, Philip Morris, Breadtalk, Bulgari, Fosun Pharma, Hays, Nokia, Peking University, Linefriends, Neusoft, SUEZ, Warner Brother and many more. You will have the opportunity to work on insight-based reports.

You will get a glimpse of the very first-hand news and media insights in multiple industries from local state-owned companies to large multinational firms. You will also have the chance to shine on top-tier clients, influence experiences that touch millions, and grow their analytics competency that is defining cutting-edge branding and consumer analytics. Also you will always be in market trends and staying abreast in the digital market arena!

This is a 12 months/24 months contract-to-hire opportunity. On top of the base salary per month, you could receive up to 13,500 RMB upon your completion of the first year service with us. We could also convert you into a Meltwater full time employment based upon your 6-12 months performance. 

We would love to see…

• Bachelor Degree, Major in Translation, Linguistics, English Literature, Language or related field is preferred
• At least 1 year of English-Chinese translation working experience of in-house or agency side , preferably in the field of media or PR agency
• Fluency in English & Mandarin (spoken and written)
• Strong ability to precisely translate documents, articles and news with maximal fluency and professional demeanour, free of errors, literal translations and cumbersome expressions that are directly transferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects, and juggle a diverse workload
• Ability to work on translation-based newsletters and reports
• Good communication skills with ability to communicate with a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels
• Ability to handle pressure when delivering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Have a ‘can‐do’ attitude, positive mindset and always be a challenge taker
• Inquisitive mind and passionate at media and business
• Approachable and credible personality who inspires trust in clients, internal stakeholders and team
• Basic skills in MS Office (esp. Excel and PowerPoint)
