Serko® is an IT company with headquarters in New Zealand and offices throughout Asia. We are a market leader and offer a dynamic environment for you to work alongside a team of talented people. Our Developers have responsibility for delivering both new product features, maintenance of our products and on working on billable work for clients. We look for individuals who are passionate about their craft and will help build a new office in a new location.

You will require technical proficiency and experience of the full development life cycle with C# and .NET, and have web enabled skills of ASP.NET.

If you join Serko, you will be:

? Performing software engineering/development tasks
? Analyzing requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications and other related documentation in preparation for development planning and execution
? Estimating development effort throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assigned pieces of work
? Working on tasks of large scope and technical complexity
? Problem-solving to get to root cause of issues
? Completing assigned development in agreed time frames to acceptable levels of quality
? Adhering to software best practice for development, methodology, and SDLC
? Becoming familiar with Serko® product technologies and the methods by which they are produced
? Contributing to ideas and creative solutions internally to consistently ensure we deliver high-quality software solutions to the travel industry

Essential Skills

? Object oriented programming
? C# and .NET,
? Web-enabled capabilities of ASP.Net, MVC3, React, Redux, Javascript, CSS, XML/XSL, VB.Net, and T-SQL
? Ability to converse fluently with people at all levels of the organization
? Demonstrable troubleshooting skills
? Ability to understand and communicate technical (and non-technical) information in both written and spoken forms (in English)
? Ability to coach new staff
? Generate & implement innovative solutions to improve our company

Requirements

The successful candidate is likely to have...

? Relevant Engineering / Technical qualifications
? A degree in computer science/applications or equivalent
? Interest and experience in software product or systems development using C#
? Minimum 7+ years’ experience in developing a commercial software product.
? Experience in leading a small team in Agile development processes
