Summary of the Role:
Interior Cockpit Designer (engineering)
Main responsibilities:
1. Responsible for Interior cockpit parts / system design. Cockpit refer to Instrument Panel and Tunnel Console. Be able to do part/system analysis and give the solution , output the report
2. Build a new or modify the Carry over engineering template
3. Create the TI (technical input) from PS until FTI (final technical input and output related documents
4. Contribute to the creation of Technical Regulations (TR).
5. Create the 3D,2D,3DMPI model according to VOLVO CAD standard
6. Create the joining definition according to Volvo standard , and output the related documents
7. Participate the technical meeting , present the design ideas
8. Freeze and release data in team center
9. Accomplish the DPA0 , MIP , BOM/CAD after data release
10. Maintain released documents and support RCP,CCRT,MY projects
11. Frequent communicate with HQ related design engineers
Qualification:
1. Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Material Engineering.
2. Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with interior components and system development. Tooling experience is preferred.
3. Experience from Interior component design especially cockpit area including plastic parts and structural parts.
4. Minimum 3 years of automotive experience.
5. Thorough knowledge of CAD tools utilized in automotive engineering such as CATIA V5.
6. Skills in computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Experience of Product or Design Engineering of Interior components in an OEM or Supplier to the automotive industry.
8. Extremely fluent in speaking, presentation and written communication skills in English. Oversea travel expected.
