Essential Responsibilities

• Drive business growth between GE Oil&Gas and China supplier base.
• Be the focal point for supplier process control, quality assurance and whole production process of assigned commodities.
• Drive continual improvement for supplier quality, cycle time and delivery performance through root cause analysis, lean, DMP, six sigma, etc., methodology and tools.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product/process compliance with GE engineering drawings, specifications and requirement.
• Clarify technical requirements with supplier with the help from GE team, and improve supplier quality document preparation level continuously with guidance and training.
• Primary Technical and quality management interface with suppliers, and work closely with business division of GE on the following items:
• Conduct First Piece Qualification/Pilot Lot Qualification.
• Validate the GE engineering change implementation in supplier base.
• Drive process continual Improvements (Evaluation & Qualifications) in daily work.
• Conduct Product/Process/EHS/TRS Surveillance Audits with suppliers.
• Lead and verify the corrective action implementation for non-conforming materials and/or part.
• Be the communication interface with DE/COE/Engineering/M&PE/ SQE, etc.
• Initial Supplier screening and aid supplier approval.
• Establish a structured approach for supplier performance trend tracking (for quality, delivery, etc.).
• Work closely with GE team (Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering) to eliminate roadblock and communication barriers that may impact supplier performance and delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS/MS Electrical Engineering or Automation related.
• Hands on experience for PEECC, UCP, MCC, DCP, etc,.
• Knowledge and experience in IEC/EN/ASME/UL /CCC codes.
• Practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure for welding, special coating, NDT, etc., is a plus.
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in supplier management and development: Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience for similar part is preferred.
• Familiar with PPAP, APQP, process control tools.
• Strong analytical caliber and problem solving skill.
• Strong project management skill and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work in cross functional team environment.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• PC & office software proficiency.
• Experience in quality or supplier technical development in oil and Gas industry is a plus.
