Client:

The client is a US firm which created the most popular streaming software platform for delivering video, music and casual games to the TV.

Recruitment process:

+ Telephone interviews

+ Face-to-face interviews

Responsibilities:

?Own features, products, devices testing and drive to completion

?Partner closely with hardware and firmware development teams

?Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports

?Assist in the certification process for partner devices to ensure compatibility with company

?Test TV and STB features, compatibility with HDMI / HDCP, Wi-Fi networks / routers, audio / video streaming file types

?Create test plans for new products / features and ensure adequate test coverage

?Record all test results for each test suite and provide a high level summary for areas tested

Requirements:

?5+ years of experience writing and executing QA test plans for consumer electronics products

?Must have experience with Digital TV, IP STB, home networking functionality, Wi-Fi and audio / video streaming; Audio / Video codecs (HLS, MP 4, MKV, smooth streaming, etc…)

?It is critical to have experience working with routers, Wi-Fi, TV remote controllers, TV HDMI; configuring and testing routers for all 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels

?Experience executing, modifying, creating automated test scripts to assist in the test effort.

?Experience with Python and Linux in running tests to validate products

?Experience formulating test strategy, designing test cases and creating automated regression test scripts

?This position requires good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), experience with a variety of bug tracking system (Bugzilla, JIRA, etc)

?Willingness to execute test procedures to verify functionality against specs and product requirements

?Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Experience generating and presenting quantitative reports

?Fluent English is required for reading, writing, and speaking.

?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
