+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Directs day-to-day activities of a staff of engineers and technicians responsible for developing and maintaining the data and systems that drives efficient, consistent, cost-effective manufacture of current and future product while meeting all required safety and quality standards
+ Coordinates the manufacturing and/or distribution functions for planning and installation of new products, processes and manufacturing projects
+ Directs the activities of limited resources in support of specific functions (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Manager/Business Unit Manager) on budgets, scheduling, and tools and people resources
+ Understands the core competencies and actively pursues improving the underlying science and maintaining the discipline of standardized improving processes
+ Applies known technology and processes that further improve overall manufacturing quality and consistency
+ Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting; reviews technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problems
+ Provides support, training, counsel and career development advice to employees to ensure their ongoing job satisfaction and professional development
+ Performs administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, training and development of direct reports to maintain core competencies and build new capabilities in personnel
+ Directs others in the administration of production pay plans
+ Represents Operations or Manufacturing Engineering in cross-functional and inter-unit projects
Requirements:
+ Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
+ More than 8 years engineering experience
+ More than 8 years experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
+ More than 8 years Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
+ Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects
+ More than 8 years experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
+ Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge
+ Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.). - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others
+ Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others
+ Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others
+ Knowledge of engineering systems, tools and databases. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge
+ Fluent spoken and written English
