Role Summary/Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineering Leader is fully dedicated to GE Oil & Gas Tianjin site. He/she is fully responsible for provide overall leadership for all aspects of manufacturing engineering group, equipment management group, and facility maintenance resources.

Essential Responsibilities

- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods/process routing and equipment layouts by utilizing knowledge of product drawings, materials, fabrication/assembly methods and quality control standards to improve efficiency, quality and costs.
- Conduct capacity analysis, equipment layout, processes workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principle to drive cycle time reduction, improve process capability and reduce overall costs.
- Drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
- Support company goals by controlling cost, eliminating waste, improving productivity, and eliminating non-value added processes
- Create linkages and partnerships with other GE O&G teams and be a change leader for lean process redesign.
- Establish the operating and communication mechanisms to implement and sustain the project of new products milestone deliverable to ensure Tianjin plant and commercial success of the program
- Manage and coach and develop team members through periodically performance review, access appropriate training plan, and set up clear and measurable goals & objectives to team members.
- Oversees the maintenance of buildings and machine/equipment, facility security and environmental compliance, as well as safety programs. Lead appropriate solutions for facility upgrade, with the balanced options and execute the project to meet the expected target on time, cost and in compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or a related field of study. MBA is a plus;
• Demonstrated experiences at a similar managerial level 3-5 years;
• Strong leadership and ability to lead changes, strategic thinking/effective communications;
• Familiar with 5S, Lean, Kaizen, proven record a plus;
• Prefer experiences with ERP
• Strong problem solving and mentoring skills
• To work down to earth with strong passion
• Strong oral and written English skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
