Role Summary/Purpose

The Design Engineer will maintain and update global Consolidated valve products in the pursuit of continuous product and manufacturing improvement, global standardization and support to the engineering organization. He/she will also be responsible for creating and updating engineering procedures and will participate in testing product for certification.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain engineering documentation such as drawings, parts lists and procedures related to global designs including engineering control and administration, common practices, design guidelines and educational tools.
维护和全球化设计相关的工程文件比如图纸、零件目录表和技术流程文件。包括核工程相关的控制和管理、一般做法、设计准则和培训工具等。
• Review existing products for required design or certification changes based on request from Product Management.
基于产品管理部门要求，对存在产品进行相关设计更改或者证书更新。
• Develop design changes, obtain necessary certifications and coordinate implementation with Product Management, Operations and Sales.
进行设计开发，获得相关的证书并协助产品管理、运营和销售部门负责产品实施。
• The duty requires strong emphasis in 3D modeling, FEA, and CFD analysis, design for manufacturing and assembly, virtual and physical testing, root cause analysis and project management.
主要职责包括3D造型设计、FEA和CFD分析、可制造性设计、虚拟和实体样机测试、根本原因分析和项目管理。
• In addition working knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, DIN, PED, ATEX, FM, CSA and others as required is mandatory.
另外要熟悉相关标准和准则比如：ASME, API, DIN, PED, ATEX, FM, CSA和其他相关准则等。
• Participate in market study and competitive analysis, and development of project specifications.
参与市场研究和竞争对手分析，并撰写设计规范。
• Also serve as the project lead or co-lead in the design, implementation and validation during the entire project cycle.

• Other duties include participating in sustaining engineering process and environment improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering
机械、化工或航空航天等专业方面本科或以上学历。
• Min 2 yrs in engineering design and production/manufacturing environment
有产品设计和制造相关岗位至少2年工作经验。
• Familiarity with ASME/ANSI, CSA, PED/ATEX codes and their application to relief valve
熟悉安全阀相关的标准和准则比如ASME/ANSI, CSA, PED/ATEX等
• Experience and capability with Solidworks and MS Office Suite
熟悉并掌握Solidworks和MS Office相关软件。
• Committed work ethic and good communication skills
遵守职业道德并有较好的沟通能力。
• Proficient in the English language; both written and oral
精通英语口语和书写。
• Green Belt Certified (GE Employees)

Desired Characteristics

• MS in engineering discipline
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, machine design, stress analysis and materials
• Familiarity with machine shop operations/practices, build-to-print bill of material structures (drawings and BOMs)
• Design for manufacturing and reliability experience
• Demonstrated design creativity and problem solving capabilities.
• Capable of working independently under the supervision of a lead engineer
• Expected to work in a fast paced global design and engineering environment and participate on an international results and deadline oriented team
• Demonstrated project managements skills, effectiveness in a team environment and dedication to Quality work
• Effective influence and communication (written, oral, and presentation) skills.
• Self-starter, clear thinker, capable of identifying solutions to problems and driving them to prompt resolution with a Customer Satisfaction Mindset
