ABOUT DIRECT HR:

Reporting to:
Mechanical Team Leader
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Develop power tool switches (AC and DC), standard switches or sensors from concept to series
+ Application development for existing products
+ Provide 3D-moldels and 2D drawings and work with a PLM System
+ Define, optimize and analyse mechanical solutions
+ Coach or train junior engineers in terms of design basics
+ Lead problem solving for complicated quality issues
+ Check and review the design deliverables of other engineers
+ Clarify and suggest the right customer solution concerning mechanical application and requirements
+ Support of purchase of alternative solutions and parts
+ Measure and test performance, qualifying and life cycles at the mechanics of switches and systems (e.g. according to UL or ENEC for power tools and customer norms)
+ Define test procedures and concepts, design test equipment in the test field
+ Support QC department and assist analysis concerning mechanical problems in the product design and realise test equipment (life cycle, overload lest) with support from the HQ
Requirements:
+ Bachelor Degree or above in mechanical design and development
+ Master Degree in relative area
+ At least 5 years of work experience in new product development
+ Be proficient in plastic and stamping technology and design
+ Knowledge of FMEA, Tolerance analysis, Design for manufacturability and Design for Assembly
+ Good skills in 3D modelling software such as UG or ProE
+ Be familiar with new product development process
+ Experience on mechatronic product would be a plus
+ Good customer-service attitude
+ High sense of responsibilities
+ Time management sense
+ Good inter-personal communication skills
+ Good internal coordination skills
+ Good command of English
