Transportation Supervisor
1. Operational Excellence. - Adhering to Standard Operations Procedure, ensure disciplined and quality transportation operations to satisfy both customer service requirement and internal control target.
2. Safety - Minimize trucking accident.
3. Cost Effectiveness. - Control transportation cost and look for cost saving opportunities to achieve budget target.
4. KPI. - Coordinate operations process to achieve both service and productivity KPI targets.
5. Training and Development. - Ensure trucking companies and drivers are well trained in terms of SOP and counter delivery instruction.
6. Continuous Improvement. - Based on KPI and benchmarking, continuously seek opportunities to improve customer service level, operational efficiency and effectiveness.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Determine trucking mode and route based on daily delivery volume
2. Ensure a smooth delivery process from 100% accurate hand-over to trucking companies until gentle handover to customers
3. Arrange urgent delivery based on Customers' requirement
4. Track on route status of shipment with daily updated tracking report
5. Coordinate with Customer Service team about transportation arrangement change like lead-time, delivery window, carrying, etc.
6. Review regularly with trucking companies about KPI and customer complaint; identify root causes behind service failure; continuously improve service quality and safety.
7. Set up incentive mechanism to promote highest service quality among trucking companies
8. Manage transportation cost by well planning route /delivery schedule, and selecting competitive transportation mode and trucking companies.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o College graduate or above.
o 5 years' multinational company working experience in logistics /SCM in the management of transportation
o Having knowledge of accounting / cost analysis.
o Experience with ERP system like JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle
o Skillful with Word and Excel operations.
o Good commanding of English in reading and writing.
o A team-worker with good communication skill.
