Responsibility
1. Establish appropriate treasury and cash management infrastructure in the
countries under his/her charge so as to ensure smooth daily operations of domestic banking and cashpooling activities.
? Work closely with the business units and the chosen partner bank to design and implement an appropriate cash management structure in the assigned countries.
? Meet Treasury's goals and objectives by ensuring that liquidity management is optimized and cash is properly invested locally in accordance to Honeywell's investment guidelines.
? Ensure that all domestic banking and cashpooling activities are running smoothly to support the local business requirements.
2. Implement and roll out treasury-related projects to improve treasury & cash management operations.
? Actively manage treasury projects and initiatives where appropriate including bank account administration, Sarbanes-Oxley documentations, review & approval of new agreements by Legal Dept, enabling of cash visibility, netting implementation, remote access to bank accounts and the use of e-banking tools.
? Work with business entities to define their needs and to reorganize their cash management processes according to their requirements and in line with Treasury objectives.
? Rationalize the bank account structure according to the specificities of each country.
? Reduce system cost & bank fees by strong negotiations with our banking partners.
3. Follow up, control & improve through innovation, all treasury activities at country level in conjunction with our banking partners & business entities.
? Review with business unit Controllers all aspects of their banking transactions to anticipate potential problems.
? Drive continuous improvement of the cash management processes through coordination with business units e.g identify potential needs and synergies with other BU, new tools and systems to simplify/automate tasks.
? Liaise with the respective banking partner to resolve any problems or provide up-to-date solutions and services.
? If necessary, coordinate & organize teleconferences with the bank and business unit people for Q&A.
4. Relationship Management - banking partners, business units
? Establish and maintain strong banking relationship and strong partnership with our business units.
? Set up regular face-to-face meetings when appropriate.
? Follow up with the price and quality of banking services provided to business units.
5. Assist in acquisitions and divestitures as well as treasury integration.
? Assist in the due diligence of Asia acquisitions.
? For all countries under his/her charge, integrate the legal entities within a cash pooling structure where feasible.
? Rationalize the bank account structure according to country specifics.
? Integrate the legal entities within the negotiated bank fee structure.
6. Oversee the bank guarantee issuance process in the countries under his/her charge and provide support on the tracking of matured bank guarantees and cost.
? Ascertain domestic bank guarantee requirements and establish the required bank guarantee facilities if necessary.
? Negotiate for favourable bank guarantee pricing with the chosen partner bank.
? Provide guidance to business entities on the bank guarantee issuance process.
? Provide support to improve the follow up and the tracking of outstanding and matured bank guarantees.
? Work with banks, contract management and legal to streamline the bank guarantee process.
7. Establish and maintain FX onshore hedging processes where applicable in the countries concerned.
? Establish a stable and sustainable FX onshore hedging process.
? Provide guidance to business units to ensure timely and accurate FX exposure reporting and hedging requirement.
? Execute FX onshore hedges to cover all forecasted and balance sheet FX exposures.
? Generate and disseminate FX hedging reports for booking of correct accounting entries of FX hedges taken.
Qualifications:
A financial/business/accounting degree. MBA a plus.
? 3-5 years of Treasury experience in the front or mid office of a MNC and/or audit background and/or banking sector experience.
? Good interpersonal skills and strong ability to deal with people from different cultures.
? Strong analytical skills with a solid approach to identifying and solving issues.
? Proactive hands-on approach combined with a can-do attitude.
? Exhibit a high level of integrity and possess strong organizational skills.
? An ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats with internal staff and external counterparties. English is the working language but other language skills, especially Asian languages, are considered an asset.
? Medium to high level of competency in commonly used presentation and spreadsheet computer programs.
