Recruitment process:
+ Telephone Interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Be as the hub of a small and dedicated engineering and design team
+ Lead the engineering team to grow to fulfill all R&D and engineering demands of design focused management.
+ Realising designs into completed engineering projects by working with the Director of Design to overcome engineering challenges to bring concepts through to full production.
+ Work with a wide range of materials and processes, from Powder Metallurgy to Die casting through to Extrusion, Sheet metal, plastics and Traditional CNC componentry
+ Working with thermal management materials and systems from component to system design levels
+ Lighting fixture mechanical design - incorporating Component design and testing and overseeing all aspects of the mechanical Department R&D
+ Design and implementation and eventual management of PDM systems across all product lines, current and planned.
+ Planning and implementing Mechanical design team growth- confident in management and some recruitment roles.
+ Reporting to the Mechanical Design Director on all team activities.
+ Working alongside the Production Manager to complete projects on time and on budget.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor degree or above on Mechanical Design Engineering or other related fields
+ Minimum of 5-8 years experience as a Senior Design Engineer and preferably 10 years at professional level in the engineering industry.
+ Knowledgeable of some fluid and thermodynamics
+ Excellent knowledge of product part design, manufacture and all aspects of Engineering management.
+ Must be an excellent communicator and fluent in English as well as Chinese.
+ A team player, with high interest for working in and building a competent and diverse engineering team
+ Have a good understanding of Engineering Systems including drawing and change management, QC, and complete Product Data Management (PDM)
+ Have strong Solidworks modelling experience and be able to complete design projects unassisted.
+ Have a demonstrated unstoppable work ethic and love of engineering and problem solving.
+ Willing to work in Jiangmen
