Main responsibilities:

1. Manage the Windows Server and storage/backup infrastructure used within Volvo Cars IT in Chengdu

2. Configure and monitoring the storage and backup infrastructure.

3. Perform restore of data or servers in case of incidents.

4. Maintain the windows servers and make sure the needed patches are installed.

5. Install the needed software to host application on the windows servers.

6. Responsible for all backups of all servers and databases.

7. Document the configuration of each servers/database/SAN/NAS/Backup

8. Make the needed Disaster Recovery Plans for each server

Academic Qualifications Required:Bachelor or Master in computer science or application

Experience Required :

Experience in one of the following areas is needed:

EMC Storage (VNX, DataDomain) or HP EVA storage.

Experience is needed in Tivoli Storage Manager backup solution, Windows Servers and VMware.

Automobile industry background is plus.

Competencies Requirement:

1. Good knowledge of EMC Storage Area Networks and Network Attaches Storage.

2. Good knowledge about SAN switches.

3. Good knowledge about software backup solution Tivoli Storage manager.

4. Knowledge about Oracle or SQL Server is a plus.

5. Knowledge about VEEAM backup is a plus

6. Good knowledge of VMware, MS windows, unix/linux and OpenVMS.

7. Able to work efficiently under high pressure. Able to work in project organizations.

8. Good oral/written English. Good interpersonal skills. Good team work spirit. Self-motivator and flexible.
