Role Summary/Purpose

Work in a global and multi-disciplinary team, develop highly reliable control system, provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
• Lead and participant in the design and development of control system hardware to work with software & mechanical functions, and provide assistance to both internal and external customers; compiling customer requirement and design proposal are the major roles;
• Do planning, operation management of project, also set up corresponding procedures as task needs;
• Do hardware(electrical & electronic) design, and be responsible for design documents, test procedures, installation procedures, troubleshooting guides, etc; also need to do FPGA programming;
• Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, sales and field services
• Participate in team's assignment to address specific organizational initiatives;
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures;
• Adhere to hardware Quality processes and procedures;

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in EE, automation, or related ;
• Demonstrated expertise of hardware integration;
• Demonstrated expertise of power electrical and related standards……
• Demonstrated expertise of power, communication cables….and related standards……
• Demonstrated experience of EE cabinet design and evaluation;
• Demonstrated expertise of EE system test, like EMC/EMI, environment……
• Demonstrated expertise of EE regulations;
• Demonstrated expertise of logic and analog design, board design experience;
• Minimum of 15-year experience in control hardware development, similar experience of tele-communication hardware development experience is also acceptable;
• Knowledge of remote I/O protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc, as a plus;
• Demonstrated mastering of common hardware design tools, like Mento, CAD/ProE electrical drawings….
• Solid knowledge of product lifecycle;
• Demonstrated expertise of hardware architecture, independent capability of design proposal;
• Project management skills, could lead virtual team, based on dynamic project assignment;
• Good team player, ability to work across disciplines, organizations; experience with customer is a plus;
• "Can do" attitude, embrace challenge with enthusiasm;
• Solid oral and written communication skills, good written and oral English skills;
• Quick learner, self-driven;

Desired Characteristics

• Knowledge of Oil and Gas applications, such as drilling, subsea measurement, it's a plus;
• Knowledge of hydraulic system, PLC, it's a plus;
• Knowledge of common sensors, like flow meter, pressure sensor, it's a plus;
• Six Sigma training preferred (GE Employees Only);
