Essential Responsibilities

• Be responsible for assigned product lines to meet the requirements of the business
• Issue purchase orders to suppliers per 5R principle and manage open orders to ensure timely material supply
• Resolve purchase parts issues such as invoice discrepancies, and return of nonconforming material
• Drive JIT, VMI and JMI projects, Resolve part shortages, escalating as appropriate to drive issue to full resolution
• Drive for root cause corrective actions on supply issues
• Issue work orders to the factory and manage open orders to ensure timely completion
• Communicate the impact of issues affecting the production schedule and drive to maintain an accurate production schedule
• Identify and drive inventory, cycle, and productivity projects opportunities in the plant and with the supply base
• Engage in lean workout activities across the plant
• Drive for continuous improvement activities

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Prior experience utilizing Oracle or other material planning systems
2. Prior experience in logistics and import /export, be familiar with 3rd part forwarder and customs policy and regulations
3. Ability and willingness to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
4. Ability and willingness to work effectively in all environments
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills
6. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
7. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Desired Characteristics

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Logistics is preferred
· Strong academic performance is preferred
· Prior experience in export-import compliance, logistics and operations is preferred
· Prior experience on modern logistics is preferred
· Knowledge of US and EU export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements and international logistics and shipping requirements
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
· Ability to adapt to / drive change across a global team in a dynamic business environment
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment
· Six Sigma training is preferred
· Strong result oriented mindset
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
