ABOUT DIRECT HR:
DIRECT HR IS A PREMIUM CHINA-FOCUSED RECRUITMENT FIRM SPECIALIZED IN SUPPORTING LEADING EUROPEAN, AMERICAN AND CHINESE EMPLOYERS WITH THEIR TALENT ACQUISITION IN CHINA.
Client:
A European company specialising in mobile communication with operations in 30 countries and is the market leader in mobile phones for seniors
Salary:
Competitive Salary (depending on experience)
Starting date:
As soon as possible
Location:
Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China
Reporting to:
GM and PL (when related to a project)
Travelling:
Possible but not frequently
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Leader for the mechanical design team and the complete mechanical design process.
+ Set up product development and follow up
+ Risk evaluation, design reviews in the period from product definition to tooling files release
+ Tooling manufacturing follow up
+ Pilot runs and mass production follow up
+ Solve the assembly problems and all kinds of tests failures
+ Help the purchase department to build up vendor system and provide technical opinions in negotiation with supplier
+ Help quality department to build up Quality standards
+ Mechanical BOM management (manage the history of BOMs, ECNs and implement running changes in the production line)
+ Integrate version management system called "SVN". With this system it is possible that you can track all the changes made from the start of a project
+ Creating project plans and shedules for the mechanical part of each project and follow up
Requirements:
+ Masters degree in MD or related field
+ 10 years of experience in designing mobile phones
+ Plastic part and related design rules skill
+ Metal part and related design rules skill
+ Tooling and design software:
- AutoCAD
- Pro/E(general, ability to digitise complex surfaces)
- Solid Edge
+ Strong knowledge in all kind of materials and state of the art designs
+ Knowledge on mobile phones electromechanical functions as shielding, acoustic, display, battery, antenna
+ Mechanical simulation tools skill will be an advantage
+ People Management skills
+ Ability to lead a team
+ Fluent in written and spoken English
+ High level of integrity
+ Willingness for hands-on the projects
+Self-motivated to work in a small size company (40 staff) with ability to look in details and hands on experience
