ABOUT DIRECT HR:

An European leading manufacturer for the lighting, sensor and visualization sectors
Salary:
Competitive Salary (depending on experience)

Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China
Reporting to:
LED Director
Travelling:
Will need travel to visit suppliers
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible/coordinate the procurement of LED samples on the market and perform necessary test to get a full characterization of LED sources of different power, color, vendor
+ Responsible for the selection of correct LED source and binning for the development of LED lamps or luminaires
+ Responsible to maintain a full overview of patents related to LED and relative cross licensing in the market+ Support colleagues in the design of mechanical parts and electronic circuits to ensure the reliable and specified lifetime of LED components in application
+ Work out component specifications in collaboration with relevant departments,
+ Enforce test in application of LED samples
+ Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions to be used in current and future projects
+ Contribute to work on cost effective solutions
+ Support production and other departments involved in case of quality or part delivery problems
+ Support on benchmark competitor solutions
+ Develop indications for future LED products in collaboration with the product development group, so to suggest OPTOSEMICONDUCTOR for new versions of LED
Requirements:
+ Bachelor, Master of Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Technology or similar
+ Minimum 3 years experience or above in development of LED or application engineering for LED
+ Background in the operating characteristics of LEDs : electrical / optical / thermal limitations
+ Preferable experience in mechanical, thermal, optical design for LED product
+ Knowledge in materials/substrates, coating processes & chemistry.
+ Background in light source related technologies
+ Background in LED mounting techniques
+ Fluent Mandarin and English
+ Good communication and interaction skill with suppliers
