Role Summary/Purpose

Manage and negotiate technical risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process. Responsible for the technical content, technical cost and technical risk mitigation of customer Request for Quotations related to L2 and L3 projects. Principal work activities relate to the R1 to R3 phase of the Energy Services ITO model - from the Bid Go/No go R1 review decision with Sales to the R3 review handoff to Project Management.

Essential Responsibilities

Project engineer use their knowledge of mechanical, controls and/or electrical engineering together with project experience and deep P&L product domain knowledge to develop engineering and installation work scopes, schedules and cost that facilitate total scope project offerings. They produce priced Bills of Material that meet customers’ technical requirements and end-destination technical regulations. In providing their deliverables, work with Sourcing, Sales, Field Applications Engineers/Technical Sales Engineers, and customers as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing field)
· At least 4 years of experience in a customer service or sales position
