Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Project Manager will be responsible to lead product development and customization programs to win specifications in direct support of key projects in North America Professional Solutions. The Project Manager will interface with the customer to understand the application, lead proto-typing and beta site installation efforts, interact with Supply Chain and Commercial teams, coordinate product team development activities, and own accountability for project launch timing and budget

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead Business Change Requests for requisition or product modification programs, in cooperation with product line teams to develop and launch Lighting LED Solutions for North America Professional Solutions
• Coordinate global product development team activities in response to Key Major Project customer needs
• Accountable for project budgets and product launch timing for pilot sites
• Oversee, direct and participate in Product Development deliverables and usage of Design for Six Sigma Quality Deployment tool set
• Direct team in defining product specifications, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) cost tools, and Sourced Product & Process Qualification
• Work with commercial team to interface with customers regarding product needs
• Work with Quality, Manufacturing and Sourcing Teams in interfacing with suppliers
• Develop expertise in Product Standards and apply to product design
• Provide direction for ITO team members in shared resource, multi-tasking environment
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to execute in dynamic LED Industry environment
• Travel for customer and supplier interaction as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated capabilities in team leadership
• Broad knowledge base in high technology environment
• Product development and Program Management experience
• Ability to work globally in a multi-cultural, multi discipline environment
• Knowledgeable in lighting fundamentals, LED systems or electronics
• Experience in LED Technology product line and LED systems architecture
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related discipline beyond BS degree

• Strong, broad technical knowledge base in multiple disciplines
