Essential Responsibilities

·Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE Energy & China supplier base.
·Be the technical focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of Power Generation components. Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.
·Provide technical guidance to suppliers to assure product / process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications and frozen Manufacturing Process Plans.
·Lead and work closely with various divisions of GE Power & Water for First Piece Qualification (FPQ), Conduct regular quality Surveillance, process and product audit and capacity audits.
·Perform the inspection on FPQ and mass production parts. Conduct the regular process, product, QMS and SRG audits at supplier site.
·Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CA) for the quality issues and drive the supplier improvements through CA and preventative actions
·Track supplier raw material and the production progress to ensure the OTD and expedite the manufacturing to meet the urgent demands
·Drive continuous improvements of supplier’s quality, cycle reduction and delivery performance through Six Sigma.
·Work closely with GE Energy Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements.
·Aid in supplier approval process – manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis and commodity assessment
·Track and work on Request For Quotation (RFQ) to support new business opportunities.
·Other duties and assignments in supplier management and project management

Qualifications/Requirements

·BS/MS Mechanical / Welding/Material Degree. Hands-on experience in supplier development – practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure.
·Required to work for gas turbine compressor blades with quality control, audit and project management skills and experience.
·Supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience preferred.
·At least 6 years hands-on experience in manufacturing of blades components
·Working experience with metallurgical, ASTM standards and their relationship to manufacturing processes is highly valued. Familiar with ISO9001 or AS9100.
·Knowledge and experience in forging, heat treatment, Non-destructive test (NDT), machining and CMM inspection are required.
·Strong analytical and problem solving skills: background in interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.
·Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment with good teamwork spirit.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with different levels of people.
·Focus on details with high sense of responsibility, result oriented and proactive attitude
·Passion for excellence in high integrity, commitment to the quality, fluent in oral and written English, willing to take frequent travel.
