ABOUT DIRECT HR:
DIRECT HR IS A PREMIUM CHINA-FOCUSED RECRUITMENT FIRM SPECIALIZED IN SUPPORTING LEADING EUROPEAN, AMERICAN AND CHINESE EMPLOYERS WITH THEIR TALENT ACQUISITION IN CHINA.

Our client is a leading international manufacturer of chemical products for foundry industry.
Salary:

Location:
Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China
Reporting to:
China CEO and Global VP
Travelling:
Occasionally to Germany and Plant visit
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and organize all operational activities for several plant sites in China including all plant activities (production, maintenance, engineering, and logistics), investments and technical projects, standardizations, cost reduction and efficiency improvements as well as people development.
+ Lead and support the operational teams in several sites in China
+ Supervise all plant activities like production, maintenance, engineering and logistics
+ Implement and coordinate all further investments and technical projects including feasibility studies, guidance of detail engineering and supervision of installations
+ Introduce and monitor the responsible working on sites in compliance with legal regulations, EHS and quality requirements
+ Perform the start-up of the new site in Nantong in a highly efficient manner
+ Develop and establish manufacturing and organizational strategies
+ Develop management and production staff according to their potential and skills through individual training programs and processes
+ Develop and manage budgets for plant operations based on several inputs
+ Provide leadership and support the improvement of EH&S programs
+ Ensure that China office provides a safe work environment for all associates and acts as a responsible partner for the communities in which we operate
+ Provide leadership and direction for the supply chain
+ Participate actively in standardization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements
+ Collaborate with the peers worldwide and adapt company best practices
Requirements:
+ Master degree in chemical engineering, industrial chemistry or related discipline
+ At least 8 years production and leadership experience
+ Operational background and skills in chemical production
+ Advanced management and leadership skills
+ High-level decision making skills
+ Basic financial skills is required
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate people when dealing with official governmental departments
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Fluency in Chinese Mandarin and English is required
+ German language skill is preferred
