JOB DETAILS
Job Purpose
Provide for the availability of equipment, processes and manufacturing capacity for the MV drive production of Rockwell Automation. Ensure that the manufacturing processes provide the highest quality product at the lowest cost;
Ensure that customer delivery commitments are met;
Support industrialization, Plant layout, tools and fixtures;
Implement 5S,Lean/6 Sigma in the plant;
Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures;

Key Responsibilities
Provide or take lead role to provide timely resolution of manufacturing process/ product problems to maintain smooth flow of production;
Compile work instructions and perform training to operators. Ensure the manufacturing to follow related workmanship standards;
Serve as primary interface for MV drives on technical issues with Application Engineering, Sourcing, Quality and Planning;
Drive MV quality & productivities improvement by identifying manufacturing issues, developing effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production;
Conduct process safety analysis for each work Area;
Improve processes applying lean/6 sigma techniques and others engineering principles;
Study existing machines and processes and implement solutions to reduce scrap and rework;
Identify and lead teams in lean, 5S and Kaizen events;
Identify and implement manufacturing cost reductions and productivity improvements;
Develop and implement lean training programs and facilitate organizational learning;
Assist teams in incorporating and sustaining Lean techniques into new and existing line layouts;
Continuously review process flow and line balancing in order to reduce WIP and lead-time using lean tools and single piece flow methodologies;
Research, develop and document new and existing manufacturing processes;
Layout of new production lines including material flow patterns;
Ensure seamless implementation of engineering change;
Identify and pursue product design changes to improve manufacturability based on engineering knowledge;
Assist with procurement of manufacturing equipment, supplies, or materials;
Apply continuous improvement techniques to processes involving customers and supplier;
Ensure available proper tooling and equipment for employees and audit equipment/tools calibration;
Understand Engineering Drawing and give guidance fitters during their assembly
Train and instruct operators;
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures;

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or other related technical degree;
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a Multi-national company;
Demonstrated record of technical and business competence, interpersonal skills and a strong desire for a career in manufacturing or operations;
Be familiar with Microsoft office, Microsoft project, Auto CAD skill;
5S, Lean / six sigma back ground is preferred;
English language ability both spoken and writing are required;
