Description
Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) serves as an independent monitor of an aircraft's position relative to surrounding terrain. EGPWS uses aircraft inputs such as position, attitude, air speed and glideslope, which along with internal terrain, obstacles, and airport databases predict a potential conflict between the aircraft's flight path and terrain or an obstacle.
The EGPWS System Lead Engineer will take responsibilities of the following duties:
- Understand customer requirements, develop and maintain the system software requirements.
- Coordinate and resolve design and implementation issues with software/hardware requirements
- Investigate and review customer issues and desired enhancements.
- Work closely with US team, system engineers, and project engineers to collect and identify requirements in term of system specification, and develop software specification accordingly.
- Develop and test airborne embedded EGPWS application software as per DO-178B.
- Develop documentation and support product release and Honeywell Aerospace Process.
- Partner with Product Development Quality Assurance team and certification team to ensure work conducted compliant with industry and internal standard and processes.
Qualification
- Master or Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, electrical or system engineering related.
- Minimum of 3 years of experiences with design of electrical hardware and/or software for control products.
- Good English skill in both writing and speaking.
- Excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation and team cooperation.
- Have passion to devote in aviation industry.
- Able to work in global collaborating environment with intensive challenges.
- Experience in Design and development of products that meet ARP4754, DO-178B and DO-160 is a plus
- Following experience of embedded software development in communication, navigation and surveillance is a plus:
