About This Job

Baker Hughes China is now seeking talented Geoscientist who is required to join the NA Geoscience team to perform field study and petrophysical analysis, support FLeX tools application in China. This role is located in Chengdu, but subject to candidate's experience might be re-located to other area of NA Geomarket.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
? Responsible for timely delivery of data processing and mineralogy interpretation and solutions to the customers
? Provides routine client follow-up and product delivery including interacting to plan upcoming Flex logging jobs.
? Edits and supervises report writing and QA & QC for Flex Gcs products
? Participates in client reporting meetings as required, Makes technical presentations to clients as required.
? Leads small project teams or manage simple projects as well as provide FE technical support to Geomarkets.
? Presents data, interpretation and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team
? Handles special Petrophysics job as assigned.
? Mentors the development of less experienced colleagues

Requirements
? Minimum BS in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics or Physics
? Minimum 15 years’ Geoscience experience including at least 3 years on challenging petrophysical issues, preferably related to tight gas sands and/or source rock/shale evaluation.
? Advanced knowledge and application of petrophysical principles. Good working knowledge of BHI products and services.
? Excellent client relations, interpersonal, communication skills.
? Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
? Hands on experience with advanced log analysis software (Geolog and Techlog preferred).
? Work experience in Oil and gas operating company would also be an advantage
