The client is a German Automotive Mechanical Components Manufacturer.

Salay:

Plant Manager

Travelling:

Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews

Responsibilities:
+ Provide daily production line support to manufacturing, which includes making decisions related to product quality serving as the voice of the customer
+ Work directly with manufacturing partners and their respective suppliers to develop quality plans, identify and close gaps within their systems that may result in quality issues
+ Establish and utilize appropriate quality tracking metrics to prioritize quality issues and drive corrective action and continuous improvement based on real time data
+ Lead and collaboratively work with all functions to establish true root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions
+ Maintain and audit procedures for effective non-conforming material identification and containment
+ Participate in cost containment/reduction initiatives
+ Participate in new product / pilot launch activity to identify areas of improvement or quality concerns prior to production launch
+ Responsible for tracking new product qualification testing activities
+ Ensure consistent and comprehensive quality strategy is implemented and maintained for current product as well as future product development activities
+ Audit manufacturing practices to assure conformance to company Quality Requirements, including developing and implementing corrective action plan where required
+ Interface with engineering and participate in all design reviews and reliability testing to optimize product design for manufacturability, performance, and cost containment/reduction
+ Support production by troubleshooting supplier quality issues, utilizing problem solving techniques to assist suppliers in identifying root cause and initiating corrective/preventive action
+ Evaluate supplier’s methods of gage control and calibration effectiveness
+ Make recommendations to improve precision and accuracy of testing and measuring equipment
+ Oversee the selection and approval of new part suppliers

Requirements:
+ Bachelor degree or higher, major in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or related discipline
+ Above 5 years of quality management experience in a firm with mechanical engineering and construction
+ Understanding of mechanical production processes
+ Fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English (both spoken and written)
