Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Testing Engineer is responsible for the definition, planning and execution of functional and system level verification and validation during NPI (New Product Introduction) project developments. Acts as mentor to other testing engineers, the Lead Testing Engineers is expected to lead on technology domain.

Essential Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement and debug application based test platforms for functional and system level verification and validation of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Ethernet protocols products, Fieldbus protocols products. Use structured software design techniques to develop and execute control programs for verification of new and existing products. Design test system hardware and verify test functionality. Interpret diagrams, specifications and applications for existing test platforms. Make modifications and additions for new functionality. Use PC based tools to create test plans, prepare for design/code reviews, perform configuration management activities, and track resolution of product issues according to established documented procedures. Work closely with the Project manager, Project Leader, and Product Development teams from design through post-release product support to ensure design is testable and product requirements are met; build connection with test engineers in other GEIP CCS product team to ensure the developed products are tested and compliant with product family application Execute test sweeps, report issues and work with Product Development Teams to verify resolution of problems found, provide guidance to junior engineers. Interface with global Principle Engineers to ensure local test methodology and plat follow global requirement Be properly trained in the Six Sigma initiative and apply SS principles to daily activities. Be responsible for technical presentations to peers and managers.

Qualifications/Requirements
BS degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience/knowledge in PCs, Windows/MS-DOS operating systems and programming languages 5 years or more experience/knowledge in testing software or application systems Must have the ability to read schematics, efficiently use scopes and meters, mechanically assemble fixtures (including point-to-point wiring) Must have good problem solving skills along with good written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and EnglishMust have flexibility to handle changes in work direction. Must be a highly motivated team player and able to work with minimum supervision. A strong team player with demonstrated commitment to process improvement. Must have the leadership skills required to operate cross-functionally. Growth capabilities for more responsible test, hardware, software or application development positions. Six Sigma training complete or plan to complete during first twelve months
