Role Summary/Purpose
The Compliance Manager is responsible for assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in developing and implementing GE’s overall compliance strategy and programs in Greater China, including working with business and legal/compliance leaders at GGO, Corporate and individual business units in Greater China to identify compliance risks and provide solutions, and also working closely with other regional and global compliance leaders for GE to coordinate Greater China compliance activities.

Essential Responsibilities
The Compliance Manager will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer on all compliance activity for GE across China, including: • Providing visible strong compliance leadership for GE China GGO including working with the compliance leaders throughout GE in China to develop an effective sustainable compliance program (e.g., policy and procedures implementation, third party due diligence and approvals, Session Ds, regulatory & compliance councils, etc.) tailored to the specific risk profile of GE in China. • Leading the Spirit & Letter program, including leading the annual China Country Operating Review and any compliance councils together with ownership for the open reporting program and driving a strong culture of compliance. • Implementing the strategy and framework of effective annual employee training, including for new hires, training for leaders, and training for employees whose job responsibilities require specialized training. Design and conduct communication and training programs to drive employee awareness about their integrity obligations. • Ensuring rigorous programs to identify, manage and abate key risks, including: Improper Payments - ensuring a rigorous process in all GE business units in China on third party diligence and monitoring, gifts and entertainment, certifications; Working with Governments – ensuring a rigorous process in all GE business units in China on government sales, interactions with government officials and employees, bidding on government-sponsored projects; and Collecting and reporting on information about risk areas: e.g. early warning system, metrics, audit results. • Leading or assisting with investigations as required. • Partnering with Corporate Compliance and Region Compliance Leaders to drive initiatives and provide critical input into regional processes. • Periodically assessing the effectiveness of the compliance and integrity programs and compliance personnel in China. • Working with China legal counsels and compliance leaders in GE to ensure robust regulatory compliance programs. • Executing special projects as needed, including development of new compliance tools/programs to address business needs and emerging risks.

Qualifications/Requirements
