Summary of the Role
1. Develop, deliver support and maintain common processes within Safety.
Ensure delivery and follow up of standardized high quality Safety services to meet Business needs.
2. Ensure that VCCD staff has the necessary knowledge of the competence requirements which are developed by authorities and organizations regarding work environment.
3. The role has a main responsibility regarding material available to the organization/unit such as documents and forms are updated and functional.
Main responsibilities
1. Delivery of specialist services within Safety according to time and quality specification agreed in SLAs in VVCD.
2. Establish and maintain common processes, tools and policies within area of responsibility.
3. Participate in development projects.
4. Evaluate and follow up deliveries to secure that they meet specifications (national legislation requirements, quality requirements, corporate standards, legal and finance demands, etc)
5. This role is counseling, maintaining and proactively work for a good work environment and also support the VCCD management team in work environment issues.
6. The role shall secure appropriate actions are taken according to laws and VCC routines when accident and incidents occur.
7. This role shall participate within local work environment committees, external and internal work groups regarding work environment issues together with Occupational Health Manager.
8. The role shall secure that the selection of available training within the field of work environment corresponds to the identified need together with Occupational Health Manager.
9. Evaluate and follow up deliveries to secure that they meet specifications (in SLA's, quality requirements, corporate standards, legal demands etc)
10. Advices, support, implement and develop a systematic method to ensure and secure that VCCD) follows the appropriate laws and regulations within the area working environment.
11. Collaborate with relevant internal VCC, external networks and authorities.
12. Responsible to report directly to CD HR Director and dot line reports to VCC China H&S Manager.
13. And reports to VCCD General Manager regularly and when needed.
14. Responsible for activities linked to VCC Common Agenda and tasks described by Safety, role descriptions.
15. Responsible to fulfil targets and deliveries agreed upon.
16. Responsibility to follow up and act on misinterpretations regarding laws and agreements.
17. Responsibility for the activities mentioned above and that documentation on BMS etc linked to the area of expertise is fully updated.

Qualification:
1. Competence requirements according to Performance Workbook.
University Degree or equivalent in relevant field
Green Belt Certificate (preferred)
2. >8 year Safety management experience in manufacturing companies, and working in automotive companies is plus.
>3 years team leader/supervisor/manager role
3. Excellent knowledge in Chinese Work Environment Law and regulations and VCC interpretations.
This role needs to have an understanding of related applicable laws and regulations within the field of Safety.
Expertise in applicable Systems and Microsoft applications.
Excellent in English and Chinese.
