1. JOB DESCRIPTION
Supply Chain design and Supplier Logistic Assurance (SLA) in China

2. PURPOSE
Ensure that all 1st tier suppliers are logistically assured during product development projects for delivery of production material to VCC plants.
Perform MMOG/LE verifications upon request and manage the closing of any gaps in performance.

3. MAIN TASKS
·Support and participate in project within MP&L and other VCC units
·Act as point of contact for suppliers with logistical questions or issues
·Initiating contact with suppliers in need of logistic assurance (Controlled by the management steering board)
·Establish communication flow between VCC units and production suppliers
·On site evaluation of the logistic assurance gap of a supplier
·Logistic assurance & supplier support concerning logistic demands
·Plan and manage the closing of logistic assurance gaps
·Perform MMOG/LE verifications when requested, including on site visit, mapping of current status and gaps to desired MMOG level
·Plan and manage the closing of MMOG/LE gaps
·Report status of activities to a management steering board, relevant documents and IT-systems
·Coordinate and do cost calculations for future events like model year changes, product launches and future sourcing etc.
·Handing over of new suppliers in projects towards VCC units.
·Interact with applicable development projects and be responsible for the timing of supplier logistics assurance activities and reporting

4. RESPONSIBILITIES - AUTHORIZATION
·Prepare suppliers during project phases for 100% logistic performance
·Drive MMOG/LE performance reviews of selected suppliers
·Escalate issues to the management steering board
·Drive continuous improvements and standardizations within the supply chain towards the VCC vehicle and component plants

5. COMPETENCES/PROFILE
· Good knowledge and experience from automotive supply chain-, EDI-, material planning- and material handling processes
· Understanding of automotive product development project logic
· Software skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
· Knowledge of VCC IT supply chain systems within the logistic area, SPFU is meritorious
· Project management competence. Audit competence within MMOG/LE
· Relevant education or equal qualifications
· Plan and execute work independently and with accuracy
· Problem solving and decision making skills
· Fluent in Chinese and English, both verbally and in writing
· Good communicative abilities and decisive approach
· Customer oriented
· Analytical skills
· Flexible regarding tasks and working hours
