The Impact You’ll Make in this Role


As a China Indirect Tax Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Work with outside compliance provider on tax filings for Guangzhou Plant, including but not limited to monthly VAT returns, export VAT refund application, quarterly/annual CIT returns, withholding tax returns; ensure tax obligations are fulfilled in a complete, accurate and timely manner;

Liaise with Global indirect tax leader for China indirect tax matters

Work closely with tax firms on R&D super-deduction and local TP report Responsible for monthly book close related to tax

Take the lead in tax inspections/tax audits in Guangzhou

Respond to tax related inquires to local authorities on time

Build and maintain good relationship with in-charge tax bureau

Helping the China Tax Leader in identifying ways to optimize tax processes Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups Teaming across functions to ensure compliance with local legislation.

Other ad hoc works as required

Your Skills and Expertise


To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax/accounting

Tax compliance experience

Fluent in spoken and written English

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master's degree in Tax or Finance from an accredited institution

More than 5+ years of work experience in tax including both in Big 4 and enterprise

SAP experience is preferred

Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and comfortable to manage an external team.
