Job Description of IT Engineer
- Take day-to-day work support in Information Technology related area and support the enterprise application, desktop applications for JV users
- Responsible for application analysis, design and development for site system application and maintenance application relate to site/plant operation. Provides ongoing maintenance of existing applications for JV users.
- Troubleshoot existing information systems to identify errors/problems and work with support function consultant to develop proper IT solution.
- Establish file back-up procedures for all production data sets.
- Troubleshoot LAN issue/support
- Ensure Disaster recovery testing and restoring is done once a year.
- Lead to complete project tasks in order to support ERP/SAP project for successful go live. Collect business requirement, track issue log, test application/system and support to train users.
- Have good project management skill. Responsible for ensuring that IT project, documentation and communication is well organized including doing the lesson learned document for further IT project improvement. To utilize Process improvement techniques such as six sigma tools, SEI-CMM or ITIL processes.
- Provide monthly IT report, IT project status report and share to users with required information get necessary support to IT.
- Lead process of IT asset management for the JV site, procure and prepare IT resources ie computer, s/w license, telephone set, PDA/mobile, barcode printer, multi-function device etc. and the disposal process to ensure Standard is met.
- Maintain file server, authorization management for JV site
- Collect and report system/application performance data. Also maintain the procedures by performing periodic review and update standard IT documentation.
- Maintain IT Standard Work and process documentation/procedure to comply with IT audit.
- Participate in short-term planning session with plant management/user to implement process improvement within an assigned area. Usually involves with using and improving information systems at the site.
- Establish relationship with business team in order to provide technical/IT solutions to meet the user's need at the right cost.
- Plan and monitor annual IT budget to serve business direction, support IT ongoing operation and deliver right IT value/usage, maximize IT new technology to the business.
Qualifications
Education level and/or experience:
-Bachelor's degree in related Information Technology fields/programming or Computer science; and/or specialized IT training and have equivalent IT working experience for 3 years.
-Having good ERP implementation experience, esp. SAP ByDesign implementation, knowing cloud based application and PMP/ITIL certification is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills (General and Technical):
-Broad technical IT experience in managing applications, server environments, desktops, data and voice networks, printers/faxes and plant cabling.
-Can prepare and execute an entire project plan including dependencies and critical paths.
-Can document status reports for project team members and provide training.
-Ability to estimate time and activities for own work using project management tools and maintain communications with project team members, users and key stakeholders.
-Ability to develop custom data collection processes as needed for users/plant.
-Can communicate well in Chinese and English
Additional requirement:
-High level understanding of site specific applications and infrastructure (server, router, network)
-Ability to read technical documents, maintain accurate records, prioritize work and analyze problems to develop good IT solutions
-Have good interpersonal skill and can establish and maintain an effective working relationship with users and other technical staff in order to have good collaboration for IT works
-Be a change agent and promote positive change in IT for JV users
