Responsibilities

 

Data Center operation engineer is responsible for maintaining the DC infrastructure that serve ADAS engineering team. This includes day-to-day operation data center facility, including but not limited to:

-       Work with ADAS engineering team in data center server room for equipment installation, deployment, move, change, cabling, disposal, etc..

-       With the 7x24x4 warranty from DellEMC, VMware, Microsoft, SUSE and Schneider, support the troubleshooting of servers, storage and network hardware, software, and configuration of all components with those vendors.

-       Power, space and cooling system technical reviews of IT equipment and peripherals.

-       Take part in project which involve new build-outs or infrastructure updates, provisioning virtual machines and capacity planning within the server room

-       Conduct regular checks and audits on the IT equipment inventory and update the associated records

-       Respond to emergency outages in a timely manner for various infrastructure components, application and services

-       Ensure the compliance with data center standards, policies and processes

-       Prioritize requests on multiple assignments to meet business deadlines

-       Create data center diagrams and take part in documentation the best practice for data center operations

 

Requirements

 

-       Degree in Engineering or computer science and with minimum 3 years of professional experience as system administrator or network engineer.

-       Knowledge of server/storage/networking hardware

-       Understanding of VMware ESXi, vCenter, VSAN, Horizon and hands-on skills in manage VMware platform in data center

-       Strong knowledge of Linux and windows operating system, proficient in Linux command line and shell scripting

-       Experience in monitoring of server systems

-       General documentation skills on technical processes and standards

-       Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-       Ability to communicate effectively

-       Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment

-       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
